S0 feature for XPL Rail 4M IO600

Today I’d like to announce the availability of a new feature for XPL Rail 4M IO600. We added support for counting S0 pulses. This enables to turn a lot of old metering devices that have S0 outputs or only magnets on the wheel of the last display digit into a simple “smart meter” – or better to say a networked meter.

S0 inputs can only be used with external power supplies. The wiring scheme is still quite simple.

The update to firmware version 0.10 is available in the download section of the XPL Rail 4M IO600. On the maintenance page of the device you can then upload the file to update your device (sorry for the german test at the upload button, this is due to the language settings on the PC that was used to make the screenshot):
